Screen Savers - CDS Primitivo To Borres
Coffee con leche and a croissant for breakfast. The bill paid, and away we go.
So long Tineo! You’ve been good to us. We stopped in Tineo for two nights. We needed a rest day, and a chance to do laundry.
The laundromats here are fantastic. They have soap already programmed into the wash cycle. You don’t need a separate purchase to add your own.
They also have espresso machines too! Tineo has a bakery that offers the fluffiest donut I’ve ever had. We multi-tasked, combining bakery breakfast and drying our clothes.
Today was the prettiest walk of the trek so far. This morning was another stretch of country lanes winding through the forest. As the sky lightened and grew bright, the blue of the distant mountains contrasted beauifully with the green grass and trees.
I tried to work a group of horses to make this scene work, but it didn’t have the strength of just the solo horse.
My accomplice!
A cow family.
Our great dog streak stretched to a sixth day!
In the afternoon we followed the road, and the landscape just got better. This is where computer screen saver landscape photos come from. Asturias is a landscape photographers dream.
Albergue Life
Dibs on the Top bunk!
Dinner albergue style.
We got the key to the albergue and chose our bunks. I always look for a low bed near an outlet and a window if possible. Given that we are the only pilgrims here, I got just what I wanted.
I spent a few hours trimming my moustache, showering, writing up the days findings in my journal and blog. Now I’m just lying here, content to do absolutely nothing.
Tomorrow? We climb into the sky.
