So Many Mushrooms

Following yesterdays scorching temperatures, we had a night of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

I figured today would be a good day to hike the back ninety and see if there were any mushrooms.

I figured correctly, and the following fungi is all from the hike.

Look at this tiny snail.

Hares Foot ink cap. These guys are sharing the mulch bed with my wine caps.

I finally found Chicken of the Woods on my property! This was a bit too old to harvest, but I know where to find it for next year.

It was an excellent hike. I’m headed out again tomorrow, as there is just too much to see and photograph out there.
