Milkweed, Damsels, Slimemold, Trees, Blooms & Shrooms

July 12, 2024 by Thom Miller

Life among the milkweed.

While taking my afternoon dip in the river, I noticed this damsel fly catching mosquitoes that were buzzing around my head. I decided to try and catch it in good sunlight. It smiled for it’s close up.

With all the rain, the forest is full of slime mold. Here are three examples:

Chocolate tube, honey comb coral, dog vomit, and more honey comb coral, in a different state of sporing.

Two views of the same tree.

Daisies and Rose.

Wine Caps.
